About Northwest Appliances
I started Simpson Maintenance in 2016 with a dream of working for myself and building a business that could support my family. At the time, I was working swing shift and taking on odd jobs whenever I could to keep the business moving forward.
My experience with appliances began several years earlier. In 2009, while I was attending college, I worked for a local appliance store. I started as a salesperson and later became a manager. When I left, the owners and I remained on good terms. I had no idea then how important that relationship would eventually become.
In 2016, I stopped by the store and asked the manager to give customers my number if they needed an appliance installed or a television mounted. Instead, he offered me an even bigger opportunity. He told me that if I became an authorized Whirlpool warranty servicer, he could keep me busy with appliance-service work.
It took me nine months to complete the authorization process. On the first day my account became active, I received 10 work orders. That was the beginning of something much larger than I had originally imagined.
From there, I continued building relationships with appliance manufacturers and expanding my technical knowledge. Over time, we became authorized to perform service for several major brands, and the business continued to grow.
A few years later, I was able to purchase a storefront with a warehouse. We began buying used appliances, refurbishing them, and offering them for sale. Since then, we have continued expanding our appliance inventory, service options, and purchasing opportunities for our customers.
Today, Northwest Appliances—a Simpson Maintenance company—provides appliance diagnosis and repair, professional installation, dryer-vent cleaning, preventive-maintenance services, and appliance sales throughout Northwest Alabama and Northeast Mississippi.
Although the business has grown, my goal remains the same: provide dependable appliance service, communicate honestly, treat every customer and home with respect, and stand behind the work we perform.
I cannot take all the credit for how far this business has come. We have been truly blessed, and I give all the glory to God. I am especially thankful for my beautiful wife and for the love, patience, and support she has given me throughout this journey.
I am also grateful for my family, friends, employees, business partners, and every customer who has supported us and helped this company grow. We would not be where we are today without the people who believed in us and trusted us inside their homes.
I am proud of how far we have come, excited to see what the future holds, and committed to serving our community for many years to come.
When You Think Appliances, Think Us..
Our Commitment to You
At Northwest Appliances, we understand that a broken appliance can disrupt your home, your schedule, and your daily routine. You are trusting us with more than an appliance—you are trusting us inside your home.
We do not take that responsibility lightly.
We Will Treat Your Home With Respect
Our technicians will make a reasonable effort to protect the appliance, flooring, cabinets, countertops, and surrounding work area while performing service.
We will use appropriate care during inspection, diagnosis, repair, installation, movement, and testing. If we discover an unsafe condition or believe continuing could cause unreasonable damage, we will stop and discuss the available options with you.
We Will Communicate Clearly
We will explain what we find in plain language and answer reasonable questions about the diagnosis, recommended repair, parts, labor, and next steps.
If an appointment, part, repair plan, or service window changes, we will make a reasonable effort to keep you informed. We will never knowingly promise an arrival time, part-delivery date, or repair result that we cannot reasonably support.
We Will Obtain Your Approval
Your diagnostic authorization does not automatically authorize a repair.
Before performing additional chargeable work, installing a part, moving or uninstalling an appliance, or materially increasing the approved price, we will explain the proposed work and obtain your authorization.
If the repair changes after work begins, we will pause and request approval before proceeding with additional chargeable work.
We Will Be Honest About Pricing
We will disclose the applicable service-call or diagnostic charge before service begins whenever reasonably possible.
After diagnosis, we will explain the available repair recommendation and provide pricing before completing chargeable repair work. Parts, repair labor, installation materials, appliance movement, modifications, and other services are separate unless specifically included in the approved price.
We will not knowingly charge you twice for the same service.
We Will Diagnose Carefully
Appliance diagnosis is based on the symptoms, testing results, error codes, appliance condition, and information available at the time of service.
We will not knowingly recommend a part or repair that we believe is unnecessary. If an approved part does not correct the reported problem, we will document the result, explain what we found, and obtain approval before installing another chargeable part or performing additional work.
We will be honest when an appliance requires additional diagnosis, when a repair may not be economical, or when replacement may be the better option.
We Will Put Safety First
We will not perform work that we reasonably believe is unsafe, unlawful, outside our authorized scope, or likely to cause unreasonable damage.
Unsafe electrical wiring, gas connections, plumbing, shutoff valves, drains, venting, cabinetry, flooring, structural conditions, pests, contamination, or inaccessible appliances may require correction by an appropriately qualified professional before appliance service can continue.
We would rather pause a job than place a customer, technician, home, or appliance at unnecessary risk.
We Will Stand Behind Our Work
We stand behind eligible parts supplied and repair labor performed by Northwest Appliances according to the written warranty provided with your service.
If you believe the same diagnosed problem has returned during the warranty period, contact us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the appliance.
We will document what we find and address covered workmanship or supplied-part failures according to the applicable written warranty.
We Will Protect Your Information
We will use customer information to schedule, perform, document, and support the requested service.
Information received from a manufacturer, retailer, warranty company, service-contract administrator, or other third party for the purpose of completing service will not automatically be treated as permission to send Northwest Appliances advertising.
Optional marketing communication requires the customer’s separate consent.
We Will Listen
If you have a question or concern, we want the opportunity to address it.
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if you notice a service problem, property concern, billing question, or disagreement. Prompt communication allows us to review the service record, preserve relevant information, and work toward a fair resolution.
Our Promise
We cannot promise that every appliance can be repaired, that every part will remain available, or that an aging appliance will not develop another problem.
What we can promise is that we will approach every service call with honesty, care, professionalism, and respect.
We are grateful for every customer who chooses Northwest Appliances, and we will continue working to earn that trust—one home and one appliance at a time.
